DZANGA BAI WITH A TASTE OF ODZALA
Day 1
Arrive Maya-Maya-Airport (BZV) on your own arrangement. On arrival, you will be assisted by a representative through immigration, where you will then transfer to Radisson Blu M’Bamou Palace. You may choose to book a Brazzaville City Tour on this afternoon.
Day 1 – 2

Day 2
Pick up from Radisson Blu M’Bamou Palace and transfer to Maya-Maya Airport for your flight to Odzala-Kokoua National Park. Charter flight from Maya Maya Airport (Brazzaville) to Mboko Airstrip (Odzala): Flight number: Let L-410 Departs Brazzaville (Maya Maya Airport) at 13h00 Arrives Odzala (Mboko Airstrip) at 15h00 Flight time: 2 hours On arrival at Mboko Airstrip, you will transfer by road to Ngaga Camp, this is about a 2 hour drive through the Odzala-Kokoua National Park. On arrival at Mboko, you will take a walk through the forest trees along a boardwalk, followed by a scenic drive to Lango Camp. On arrival at Lango, you will enjoy a relaxing sundowner taking in the the sights and sounds of the forest on your first night. Enjoy it! Overnight Lango Camp in an en-suite forest room
Day 2 – 4

Day 3
Before breakfast, take a guided morning wet walk through the baï to discover the early morning activities of the forest, returning to camp for breakfast and time to relax. After lunch take an afternoon forest (dry) and baï (wet) walk to discover more of the beautiful life in the forest, or stay in camp to do some incredible bird watching from the camp deck. Day 4
After an early breakfast, take scenic drive followed by a short walk to Mboko Camp, before transferring to Mboko Airstrip for a short flight to Kabo (CAR). Congo Conservation’s charter flight: (40 min flight) Departs Odzala (Mboko Airstrip) at 9h00 Arrives Kabo at 09h40 On arrival, transfer by road to the boat where you will transfer on a 4 to 6 hour boat journey up the Sangha River. This boat ride begins through the Sangha Tri National Special Reserve, where you will clear customs en-route at Bayanga. Arrive at Sangha Lodge nestled along the Sangha River for a relaxed afternoon at the lodge. Overnight Sangha Lodge in an en-suite river room
Day 4 – 11

Enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge before transferring by road (±1.5 hours) to take a forest walk of 2km to Dzanga Baï, where you will spend time on the research platform observing the diverse wildlife activity around the remote baï and enjoying a packed lunch. Return to Sangha Lodge with a forest walk and road transfer.
Day 6
After an early breakfast, transfer by road (±2.5-hours) for your guided Gorilla tracking experience. Enjoy a packed lunch in the forest, and spend the afternoon tracking Mangabeys. * If the gorillas require a long walk and time does not allow, the mangabey tracking will be included on an alternate day. Returning to camp for a relaxed evening sharing the stories & pictures of your experience on this day.
Day 7
After a relaxed breakfast, transfer by boat (15 mins) to take a forest walk through the ‘Valley of the Giants’ and spend the morning walking amongst some of the tallest trees in the Congo Basin. Return to the Lodge for a late lunch and an afternoon of relaxing in camp. You may choose to take a guided night walk to view nocturnal forest life on this evening.
Day 8
After a leisurely start to the day and relaxed breakfast, transfer by boat (30 mins) to the start of a guided waterfall hike. Return to the lodge for lunch, followed by time with the Pangolin researchers and protectors. Enjoy relaxing sundowners before dinners
Day 9
After breakfast in camp, transfer by road (±1.5 hours) for a forest 2km walk to Dzanga Baï. Spend a 2nd day on the research platform with this 2nd excursion observing the diverse wildlife activity around the remote baï. You will enjoy a packed lunch on this day. Return to Sangha Lodge with a forest walk and road transfer.
Day 10
After a relaxed breakfast, take a guided morning forest walk and experiment net hunting with members of the Ba’aka community, with time to work on the building of huts or learning about medicinal plants and the Ba’aka lifestyle, returning camp for lunch. You may choose to take an evening boat sundowner cruise before dinner on this day.
Day 11
After an early breakfast at the lodge, transfer by boat (4 to 6 hours) downstream along the Sangha River via Bayanga to Kabo Airstrip in the Republic of Congo. Congo Conservation’s charter flight: (40 min flight) Departs Kabo at 13h00 Arrives Odzala (Mboko Airstrip) at 13h40 After arriving at Mboko Airstrip, transfer to Mboko Camp, for for a late lunch, followed by an optional afternoon guided forest walk and sundowners on the Lekoli River.

After a relaxed breakfast at Mboko Camp, you will transfer to Mboko Airstrip for your Charter flight back to MayaMaya Airport at 9h00, arriving in Brazzaville at 11h00. *Depending on your onward journey details, you may connect with your onward international flight or stay another night in Brazzaville, where you will be transferred to the Radisson Blu. If you stay in Brazzaville, you may take this opportunity – if you did not on the first day to book a Brazzaville City Tour.
