D.R Congo is the second-largest country in Africa after Algeria. It is the southernmost country located in East and Central Africa. The main areas open to tourism are found in the in the east of the country, namely Virunga National Park (located in North Kivu Province, bordering Uganda & Rwanda) and  Kahuzi Biega National Park (located in South Kivu Province, near the border of South Western Rwanda),Epulu Forest for the endemic Okapi, The Congo river expedition a unique life time experience… Virunga National Park’s closest city is Goma, which can be reached international flights – 3 times a week, however the majority of visitors enter Goma via car through the Gisenyi border (La Corniche) of Rwanda.  Goma also encompasses the lakeshores on one side of Lake Kivu. Visitors can take a boat from here to cross the lake and reach Bukavu in the South Kivu Province with easy access to Kahuzi Biega National Park. Alternatively, visitors can enter Bukavu via car after crossing the Rwandan Rusizi I border.
