DZANGA BAI WITH A TASTE OF ODZALA

• Day 1 – Arrive at Maya-Maya Airport, Brazzaville

  Arrive at Maya-Maya Airport (BZV) on your own arrangement. On arrival, you will be assisted by a representative through immigration, where you will transfer to Radisson Blu M’Bamou Palace. You may choose to book a Brazzaville City Tour in the afternoon.

• Day 2 – Transfer to Odzala-Kokoua National Park

  Pick up from Radisson Blu M’Bamou Palace and transfer to Maya-Maya Airport for your flight to Odzala-Kokoua National Park. Enjoy a scenic drive to Lango Camp and relax with a sundowner in the forest.

• Day 3 – Guided Walk and Birdwatching at Lango Camp

  Before breakfast, enjoy a guided morning wet walk through the baï, followed by a relaxing afternoon forest walk. Stay in camp for some incredible birdwatching.

• Day 4 – Travel to Sangha Lodge

  After breakfast, take a scenic drive to Mboko Camp and transfer by boat to Sangha Lodge. Spend a relaxing afternoon at the lodge.

• Day 5 – Wildlife Viewing at Dzanga Bai

  Enjoy a guided walk to Dzanga Bai, where you will observe the diverse wildlife around the remote baï. Enjoy a packed lunch and return to Sangha Lodge with a forest walk.

• Day 6 – Gorilla Tracking Experience

  After breakfast, transfer for a guided gorilla tracking experience. In the afternoon, enjoy tracking Mangabeys or explore the forest at your leisure.

• Day 7 – Valley of the Giants Walk

  Transfer by boat to the start of a guided waterfall hike and explore the "Valley of the Giants," home to some of the tallest trees in the Congo Basin.

• Day 8 – Waterfall Hike and Pangolin Research

  Take a boat ride to the waterfall hike and enjoy time with the Pangolin researchers at the lodge.

• Day 9 – Second Visit to Dzanga Bai

  Return to Dzanga Bai for a second day on the research platform observing the wildlife. Enjoy another packed lunch before returning to the lodge.

• Day 10 – Ba’aka Community Experience

  After breakfast, transfer for a forest walk to Dzanga Baï. Engage with the Ba’aka community, experiencing their hunter-gOtherer lifestyle.

• Day 11 – Return Journey

  After breakfast, transfer by boat along the Sangha River to Kabo Airstrip for your flight back to Odzala and onward transfer to Mboko Camp.

• Day 12 – Departure from Brazzaville

  After breakfast, take a charter flight from Mboko Airstrip back to Maya-Maya Airport, Brazzaville. Depending on your onward journey, you may opt for a city tour or stay for a night at the Radisson Blu.
